Plitvice Lakes National Park

Established in 1949 and added to UNESCO Wolrd Heritage register, Plitvice Lakes is one of the oldest, largest and most popular national parks in Croatia. More than a million people visit the lakes annually, which features 16 lakes connected in a cascade fashion by waterfalls.

Rab Island

It's one of Croatia's large islands, belonging to the group of islands close to Istria - Krk, Cres and Pag. The island's main town is Rab town, plus there are other seven townships on the island. The southwest of the island is more densely populated with beaches and pine forests.

Paklenica National Park

Being a part of Velebit mountain range, Paklenica National Park is a beautiful river canyon located in Lika region. It was established in 1949 as a national park, which is one of small national parks in Croatia. Mountain lovers, hikers and animal watchers will have an incredible time in Paklenica.

Mljet National Park

The tranquil island of Mljet, part of Dubrovnik's group of islands is home to Mljet National Park. It was the first official national park established in Croatia, in 1960. The park's main features are two salt water lakes. The park is one of the most diverse areas in the country, with many plant and animal species.

Brac Island

With over 1200 islands dotting Croatia's Adriatic sea, it's not an easy task to pick up the best islands. But Brac island is one of the best known and most popular with visitors. During the summer season its small airport gets busy with direct flights, while 'Zlatni Rat' beach is one of the island's features.

Kornati National Park

Kornati is another islands' national park in Croatia, only larger than Brijuni, consisting of 89 islands and islets. These are rocky islands covered in scrubs, where you will find numerous olive groves and vineyards. It's a beautiful scenic place with sea caves and rich sea life.

Brijuni National Park

Located in an archipelago of 14 islands, Brijuni is close to the city of Pula and Istrian coastline. the area is full of raw natural beauty, including flora, fauna and archeological sites. There are numerous things to see and do, including the impressive Brijuni Fortress, built in the 19th century by Austrian empire.
